For over a century, Bank Street Dental has been at the heart of the Galashiels community, caring for generations of patients and creating smiles that have lasted a lifetime.
As we celebrating more than 100 years of dentistry, we are proud of our rich heritage and lasting relationships we have built with families across the Scottish Borders.
Today, we continue this proud tradition of combining the warmth and personal care that has defined us since the 1920s with the latest advancements in modern dentistry. Our experienced team are dedicated to providing exceptional, patient centred care. We are currently welcoming new patients on a private basis and also continue to provide NHS dental care to our existing community.
As a Childsmile practice, we believe a lifetime of healthy smiles begins with positive early experiences. We are passionate about welcoming children from a young age, helping them feel confident and comfortable at the dentist while supporting families with advice on maintaining excellent oral health.

Vermilion Connection
In April 2026, Bank Street successfully became part of Vermilion – The Smile Experts. Founded by Dr David Offord, Vermilion has clinics in Edinburgh and Kelso providing a variety of specialist treatments. As part of Vermilion, we are excited to collaborate with an experienced team of specialists and benefit from a progressive, forward-thinking approach to modern dentistry.

Our team is at the heart of Bank Street Dental. With years of experience and a shared commitment to caring for our local community, we work together to provide friendly, professional dental care you can trust.
Anya graduated from Edinburgh Dental School in 1992 and gained valuable experience working in New Zealand, Edinburgh and Jedburgh before joining the practice in 2018.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and takes a holistic, preventative approach tailored to each patient. With a particular interest in minimally invasive restorative dentistry and caring for nervous patients, Anya is committed to helping people achieve and maintain long-term dental health.
Greg joined the practice in 1999 after graduating from Glasgow Dental School. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is committed to providing high-quality, modern dental care.
Passionate about continued professional development, Greg regularly undertakes postgraduate training in the latest dental techniques. He has a particular interest in dental implants, holding both an EduQual Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Dental Implantology, alongside cosmetic adult teeth straightening. He finds helping patients achieve confident, natural-looking smiles one of the most rewarding aspects of his work.
Sanjana graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India. After completing her vocational training at Chong Kwan Dental Practice in Dunfermline, she joined the practice in 2012.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and caring for patients of all ages. Sanjana has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and finds working with children and nervous patients especially rewarding. She has also completed additional training in cosmetic facial injections.
Tesfom graduated from the University of Limpopo in South Africa in 2006 and joined the practice in 2017. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and values building strong relationships with his patients to help them feel comfortable and supported.
Tesfom has a particular interest in cosmetic adult teeth straightening and is trained in a range of systems to help patients achieve confident, natural-looking smiles. He has also completed both an EduQual Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate and a Diploma in Dental Implantology.
Neenu graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2015. She furthered her studies with a Master of Science in Advanced General Dental Practice from Ulster University, graduating in 2024.
Neenu is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and continually developing her skills to offer the latest techniques and approaches in modern dentistry.
